In 1984, Bioline™ founder Pat Ferguson began his career with Davis & Geck Suture Company. Davis & Geck was one of the oldest suture manufacturers in the US.
In 1989, Cindy and Pat Ferguson formed CP Medical. CP Medical started as a specialty medical device manufacturer focusing on bioabsorbable technologies. CP Medical pioneered bioabsorbable devices for the veterinary and human
markets, growing quickly with a portfolio of patents, products, and customers.
The culminations of 20 years experience, Bioline Fishing was extablished in 2004 to develop high performance biodegradable fishing line. After 4 years of research and development, Bioline was introduced in 2008. Bioline is the only biodegradable fishing line on the market.
We were anglers prior to ever engaging in the medical field, and our love of the sport has never relented. Along with our love of the fish we pursue, we understand that that single greatest threat to their continued existence, and our fishing, is the environments they depend upon.
